The purpose of this position is to guarantee that the company’s cloud infrastructure remains reliable, secure and capable of scaling as the business grows. The role is responsible for leading Azure migration efforts, managing hybrid and cloud environments, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based networks and servers. By continuously monitoring systems, providing technical support and working closely with development teams, InfoSec and key business stakeholders, this position plays a central role in improving cloud and on-prem operations and in designing resilient, compliant and well-documented infrastructure solutions.
- Lead and deliver Azure migration projects, covering virtual machines, networks, storage solutions and hybrid connectivity scenarios.
- Work with regional IT teams to understand local requirements, assist with production issues and act as the cloud SME for that time zone.
- Configure, maintain and monitor firewalls, VPN gateways and security rules, while diagnosing and resolving inter-site connectivity issues.
- Manage Windows and Linux servers, including installation, patching, routine maintenance and system upgrades.
- Deploy and integrate monitoring platforms; configure alerts, fine-tune thresholds and maintain documentation.
- Ensure adherence to governance, security and backup standards, applying and standardizing technical controls across the environment.
- Build automation and self-service capabilities using CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure, IAM, governance and compliance processes.
- Support the creation of a consistent framework for monitoring, logging and alerting.
- Share knowledge, contribute to documentation efforts and participate in global training activities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in IT automation and 5+ years working in Cloud, DevOps or Platform Engineering roles, ideally in Azure-focused environments.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Azure services such as IAM, VMs, VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, SQL Server, ADF and Databricks.
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPN technologies, monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience working with IAM best practices in Active Directory or Microsoft Entra.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based change and incident management processes.
- Comfort working across both Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as container platforms including Kubernetes and AKS.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to script in at least one language such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- Strong awareness of cloud security, compliance and governance principles.
- Capable of working independently and within teams, with a strong focus on delivering results.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-700) are considered an advantage.
- Advanced or proficient English level (C1/C2).
